Anthony Braithwaite has been a writer for 10 years.
After writing a play, two novels and several short stories, he has
decided to finally begin his writing career with “A Perfect Fit”. He has
always enjoyed historical fiction, and names Robert Louis Stevenson and
Charles Dickens as his main inspirations for writing. One of the reasons
he began writing was when he heard the story, years ago, of how Robert
Louis Stevenson wrote Treasure Island. Apparently, Stevenson was reading
a typical adventure novel of his time, and then threw it down in
disgust. He said something to the tune of: “I can write a better book
than this”. Then, he wrote Treasure Island. Feeling similar feelings
with much of the fiction of today, Braithwaite has striven to create
atmosphere, characters and story in a compelling historic setting. We
feel that he has accomplished his task admirably. |
